NASA Instructor Clinic

Our primary sanctioning body is NASA for the Spec Cobra series.  As the season winds down, NASA put together a clinic for would-be instructors.  Dan attended and got some practice time in the car while Dave Lewis volunteered to help as a corner worker at Summit Point's Jefferson Circuit.

Part of the class involved being a practice 'problem' student.  I was paired with Jerry, a gifted driver of a white BMW M3.   We had a good time and learned some things so that we can help others become better drivers.  We had a fun time playing 'newbies' and trying to make each other nervous.   I had a bit of an advantage since the Cobra is brutally hot - and he was wearing street clothes!

Students from JMU also came out to the track and learned how to be corner workers.  These young men and women did a really good job.
