When I as first starting my professional career I spent a number of weekends in the Pacific Northwest exploring.  One of the most magical places I visited was the little seaside town of Cannon Beach.  Cannon Beach is famous for it's 'haystacks' - massive rock formations within wading distance of the shore.  Haystack Rock is the big one.   One of the first 'wow' pictures I ever took was the sun setting over the big haystack as a woman walked along the beach.  (The picture is in my office, but a poor copy can be found here.)   I have been back a few times since then and it is always a treat to visit.
